I understand Everence has roots in the Anabaptist faith tradition. What is Anabaptism, and how are Mennonites related to it?

Anabaptism was a Protestant Christian reform movement in Europe during the 16th century. Today, a number of denominations have ties back to that historic movement, including those within the Mennonite, Brethren, and Amish church groups.
