As diversity coordinator: will help develop, implement, advocate and monitor programs that promote diversity and inclusion at Everence. 

As recruiting coordinator: will help with talent acquisition initiatives, with primary focus on building financial advisor pipeline.   

Responsibilities and duties

1. Assist in implementing diversity and inclusion plan initiatives – Achieving Workplace Diversity (including recruiting).
2. Assist with setting diversity goals.
3. Help develop metrics for measuring effectiveness of diversity initiatives/create dashboard.
4. Develop plan to conduct diversity audits of policies, marketing materials, website, etc.
5. Assist Director of Training to create training programs that help build cultural competency; build and design diversity certification program, etc. 
6. Assist HR Director with talent acquisition strategies to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce, including, but not limited to people with culturally diverse backgrounds, while devoting primary attention to helping Managing/Regional Directors build the advisor pipeline.  
7. Work with Managing Directors to become familiar with local markets/constituencies.
8. Track important recruiting events/job fairs in which management may participate, and prepare information to be used at such events.
9. Help develop creative sourcing/outside of normal recruiting channels, including expanded use of social media, online job boards, etc.
10. Work collaboratively with Marketing Manager to coordinate recruiting with marketing, when appropriate.
11. Assist with screening applicants, supporting the posting process, etc. as needed.
12. Work collaboratively with HR staff (HR Director and Director of Training/Development) to develop, implement and manage a robust internship program that serves as a pipeline for potential future employees.
13. Work with managers to create and define intern work assignments.
14. Develop/coordinate intern jobs for field offices.
15. Work with schools/colleges.
16. Coordinate training/development/fun events for interns.
17. Serve on the diversity advisory group.
18. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, marketing or related field is required.
2. Diversity training preferred.
3. Three to five years of experience in recruiting, business, marketing, or other comparable areas.
4. Multicultural background/experience required.
5. Bilingual preferred.
6. Must be an outstanding communicator – written and verbal.
7. Must have excellent listening skills.
8. Demonstrated ability to influence others.
9. Must have ability to collaborate and work with a team.
10. Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability.
11. Must have outstanding relational skills.
12. Passion for diversity in the workplace.
13. Must have an appreciation and understanding of who Everence is and who we serve.
14. Must have an understanding of compliance laws/regulations, etc.
15. Must be willing to travel.

Supervision: No direct supervision, but will work closely/collaboratively with HR Director, Director of Training and Development, Marketing Assistant, and core market Marketing Managers.
