Responsibilities:

The Souderton Market internship is created to provide an overview of how Everence integrates faith and finances with opportunity to gain a solid general knowledge of financial products and services offered. The primary function will be to provide administrative support and sales assistance for the financial consultants/planners, as well as time spent with Stewardship Consultant to gain perspective of Everence and its relationship to the wider Church. There may be opportunity to occasionally participate in client meetings as well as experience the making of phone calls to establish appointments and potentially make prospecting calls. Projects and duties will be tailored to skills and interests of the intern but are likely to include:

  • Providing excellent service to clients, prospects and staff.
  • Learning and applying working knowledge of Everence investment, insurance, fraternal/church relations and charitable products and services.
  • Assisting with various projects and miscellaneous office tasks
  • May include project and presentation opportunities guided by intern’s interest.

Requirements:

  • Specific skills and attributes needed to successfully achieve a better understanding of Everence and your personal development are as follows:
  • Understanding of, and respect for Mennonite/Anabaptist belief and practice of stewardship
  • Self-disciplined and demanding of oneself; self-starter; energetic
  • Willingness to interact with others across all levels of the organization
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to contribute as a team player
  • Exceptional time management
  • Currently pursuing education in accounting, finance, business or related field (on track for bachelor’s degree preferred)
