Teen credit card

  • The student credit card is available for teens (minors) ages 14-17.
  • Teens must have a creditworthy cosigner who is at least 21 years old. Either the teen or the cosigner must have stated income of at least $1,000 annually to qualify. Income verification is not required.
  • Teens will be allowed to request removal of their cosigner upon reaching age 18, if they have adequate income at the time of the request. The teen must restate his or her income at the time of the removal request, as well as sign a new security agreement.

This card helps teens build credit faster. Upon reaching the age 18, the teens's credit history from this card will be included on his or her credit report.
