Everence expresses appreciation for members in Harrisonburg
Day-long event with giveaways, food and more
At a day-long event, more than 200 Everence® members stopped by the Harrisonburg office.
The event started with special services for Everence members, such as a prescription drug drop off staffed by the Rockingham County Sheriff’s office and paper shredding services. Two 55-gallon trash bags of prescription medication were collected by the sheriff, and more than 12,000 pounds of documents were shredded.
In the late afternoon, an annual Everence meeting and meal catered by Doña Fer brought 165 members for a time of conversations and learning.
“Every year we look forward to celebrating our members and the ways they are working at integrating their faith and finances,” said Teresa Boshart Yoder, Everence Managing Director. “As a member-owned organization, we value our members and the way they impact their community with their time and generosity.”
The annual member appreciation event gives the Everence team a chance to thank our members for continuing to use Everence to help them integrate their values with financial decisions.
A special thank you to Doña Fer for catering the event, Document Destruction of Virginia, LLC for providing paper-shredding, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s department for helping dispose of old prescriptions and Community Mennonite Church for lending chairs.
