Community lender from Philadelphia tapped for key impact position

Stella Tai, Everence Manager of Stewardship Investing Impact and Analysis

Everence® Financial recently hired Stella Tai as Manager of Stewardship Investing Impact and Analysis. In this new role, Tai will lead efforts to further incorporate the Everence “faith and finance” concept into various products and services, including impact investments and community development finance and investing strategies.

Tai brings over 15 years of experience in small-business lending, accounting, real estate management and nonprofit development.

She previously was Assistant Vice President of Lending at FINANTA, a mission-driven Community Development Financial Institution in Philadelphia. Tai earned a Master of Economic Development degree from Eastern University and a Bachelor of Business and Marketing degree from the University of Nairobi, Kenya.

Everence Financial has offices in the Hunting Park neighborhood of Philadelphia and will open a new retail branch this fall in the newly renovated Esperanza Health Center at Allegheny and Kensington avenues. The new retail office will provide financial wellness training, banking, and other financial services to residents of nearby neighborhoods.
