Aaron Weaver is from Sugarcreek, Ohio, and is a member of the Class of 2017 at Eastern Mennonite University, located in Harrisonburg, Virginia. After graduating with his Bachelor's degree in business administration, he plans to attend law school. Aaron interned at the Everence® office in Harrisonburg, Virginia, during the summer of 2017.
What did you do during your internship at Everence?
During my summer internship, I worked with both the credit union and with the asset management teams in the Everence office in Harrisonburg. This included a wide variety of duties ranging from scanning documents, answering phones, shadowing advisors and sitting in on client meetings. I also helped prepare for an upcoming audit by assisting with paperwork and file management.
What did you like most about your internship?
I really enjoyed getting to know the Everence staff and team, and the opportunity I had to learn from them.
What is the most valuable thing you learned throughout your internship?
I had the opportunity to see how important relationships are between clients and staff, especially at a company like Everence. This made a lasting impression on me and has given me experience I can carry into my next job.
