Everence offers Hurricane Relief Grants

Congregations may submit applications to aid victims of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria

In the wake of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, Everence® is providing $50,000 in grants to assist storm victims.

The grants are designed to help congregation members who have suffered loss due to devastating hurricanes in 2017. Grants of up to $500 are available to any Everence-affiliated church in the hurricane-affected areas within the United States and Puerto Rico.

“This year’s hurricanes have been particularly destructive,” said Kenda Mishler, Everence Member Benefits Manager. “We hope this grant funding will help individuals and families get back on their feet and return to a sense of normalcy after all they’ve been through.”

The hurricane assistance is in addition to the Everence Sharing Fund, a program that helps thousands of families meet basic needs each year through matching grants. In 2016, Everence awarded $894,250 in Sharing Fund grants for those in need – in addition to almost $1.3 million given by congregations, chapters and employer groups.

Congregations may apply for an Everence Hurricane Relief Grant at everence.com/hurricane-relief.
