Everence Federal Credit Union will donate $14,000 from its Rebate for Missions™ program to global agencies MEDA and Mennonite World Conference ($7,000 to each organization).
Everence members voted online to choose this year’s global recipients.
Since the Rebate for Missions™ program began in 1995, nearly $363,000 has been awarded to churches, missions and relief organizations locally and around the world.
Rebate for Missions™ works because of our members who use their Visa credit cards from Everence Federal Credit Union.
The credit union tithes to church and mission work 10 percent of the income generated from merchants through the use of the Visa cards we issue. In addition to the amount we award to global organizations, a portion is donated to local community charities through the credit union’s branch offices.
MEDA is an international development association whose efforts include partnering with the poor to start or grow businesses in developing regions around the world.
Mennonite World Conference is a communion of Anabaptist-related churches linked in a worldwide community of faith. It encourages member churches to work together and helps foster relationships with other international Christian communities.
Everence Federal Credit Union is a full-service cooperative chartered to serve members of the Anabaptist community throughout the United States. With its once-a-member, always-a-member policy, the credit union provides financial services to members throughout the world. To learn more, call (800) 451-5719 or visit everence.com.
