Donations will be delivered to The Window on Dec. 22.

Everence is collecting winter clothing for people who don’t have adequate coats, hats, scarves, gloves or mittens to keep warm.

People can bring donated items to the Everence Federal Credit Union office at 1301 College Ave. (College Avenue and 16th Street) during normal business hours. New or gently used clothing – for children or adults – is welcome Friday, Nov. 24 through Friday, Dec. 22.

Everence will deliver the clothing to The Window, a local nonprofit, faith-based organization that provides services to meet the essential needs of anyone with limited income.

“Unfortunately not everyone has the proper cold weather gear to keep them warm in the winter,” said Tim Martin, Branch Manager of Everence Federal Credit Union. "Through the clothing drive we want to spread the warmth our of community."

Last year, donors gave a total of 182 items for the clothing drive, which helped keep dozens of people warm. Martin said, “I’m amazed at the generosity of Everence members and our community year after year.”
