Joyce Bontrager Lehman is an international development advisor advisor to donor organizations that fund projects with a focus on financial inclusion. She began her career in international development with MEDA, providing training and consulting services to microfinance institutions in more than 25 countries. From 2008 to 2012, she was a program officer on the Financial Services for the Poor team at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, where she managed a $100 million grant portfolio that funded projects throughout the developing world. Prior to joining MEDA, Bontrager Lehman was in private practice as a Certified Public Accountant and a visiting professor of business at Goshen College. A 1965 graduate of Eastern Mennonite University, Bontrager Lehman lives in Keene, New Hampshire, and attends the Mennonite Congregation of Boston.
