Colin Saxton, Stewardship Theologian/Director of Church Relations

Colin Saxton serves as an Everence® Stewardship Theologian and Director of Church Relations helping our organization and clients cultivate greater generosity and faithful stewardship practices. Through writing, speaking, and consulting, he nurtures the integration of faith and finances from a Biblical, Spirit-led, and Anabaptist-informed perspective.

With a passion for thriving churches, Colin helps Everence deepen our relationships with the many denominations and faith communities we serve. Part of this work includes co-facilitating the Everence Stewardship Consultants, who engage local congregations and ministers.

Colin and his wife, Janine, live in Newberg, Oregon, and are the parents of four adult children and have two grandchildren. Before joining Everence, Colin served as a Quaker pastor, Superintendent of Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends, and General Secretary of Friends United Meeting, an international fellowship of Quakers.

He also taught at George Fox University and Seminary as an adjunct instructor. Colin’s educational background includes a B.A. from Portland State University, an M.A. from Eastern Mennonite Seminary, and a D.Min. in leadership and spiritual formation from George Fox Evangelical Seminary. He currently serves as an adjunct instructor through the Lake Institute/Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
