Celebrating a year of Jubilee

Everence invites churches to join in mutual aid inititive

The sun peaks out over a mountain range covered in colorful fall trees.

Everence sees the many trials and tribulations currently affecting some congregations we serve. As we get ready to launch Everence Stewardship Partners on Jan. 1, 2024, we’re also celebrating a Year of Jubilee with all churches!

As we announced earlier:

  • All churches with advocates have the opportunity to receive up to $3,000 in matching Sharing Fund grants in 2024 (while funds lasts).
  • After a break from reporting in 2023, churches with advocates will begin to submit reports again in 2024 which will determine their grant eligibility in 2025.

Opportunities to pay it forward to the Sharing Fund

We invite congregations to participate in the Year of Jubilee in two possible ways:

  • If your congregation doesn’t need grants in 2024, you can opt to submit no (or fewer) grant applications, so the Sharing Fund has more dollars to share with churches in need.
  • Your congregation can contribute to the Jubilee Fund by Sept. 30, 2024, so Everence has addition funds to share with churches in need. Write a check to the “Everence Sharing Fund,” with “Jubilee Fund” in the memo line and send it to Kenda Mishler, Member Benefits Manager, Everence, P.O. Box 483, Goshen, IN 46527.

Thank you for your gifts of mutual aid to bring Jubilee to congregations who are experiencing financial stress!

Opportunities to receive extra funds from the Jubilee Fund

If your faith community is in significant financial stress, you can apply to the Jubilee Fund by Sept. 30, 2024, to cover all or part of your portion of a match for a Sharing Fund grant. Note on your grant application that you are requesting the match dollars from the Jubilee Fund.

After Oct. 1, 2024, Everence will review all Jubilee Fund grant applications to determine how funds can best be distributed by Dec. 31, 2024.
