Grace Meyer

What is your background? (Hometown, schools, major, etc.)
I am from Bremen, Indiana, and I am entering my senior year at Huntington University, where I am majoring in English Literature, Pre-Law, and Political Science. I am also a member of the women’s tennis team at Huntington.

What is your role at Everence and where are you located?
I am a legal intern, and I work in the Goshen, Indiana office.

How did you find Everence?
My mom, who works at Bethel University, found a posting about the internship on Bethel’s job board.

What is your day to day like in your internship?
My day-to-day can vary because my tasks tend to vary. I do anything from research, to looking at policies, to taking minutes for meetings.

What is something valuable you've learned through your internship?
I have learned some valuable research skills through this internship, especially pertaining to navigating certain websites and databases on my own and finding information that might not be in obvious spots.

What is something you like to do on the weekends?
I love playing tennis, thrifting, and spending time with my friends and family.

What is your favorite local restaurant?
I love Zing in Mishawaka, Indiana.

What advice do you have for future interns at Everence?
My advice would be to talk to many different people within Everence, even if they are outside your department or career goals. Hearing different career experiences and paths is super valuable.
