What is your background? (Hometown, schools, major, etc.)
I am from Wakarusa, Indiana, and I graduated from NorthWood High School in Nappanee, Indiana.

What is your role at Everence and where are you located?
My role this summer was a Financial Planning intern at the corporate office in Goshen Indiana.

How did you find Everence?
I had a connection to a planner within Everence. He was able to help get me an interview for the internship.

What is your day to day like in your internship?
Most of my day consists of meetings that involve reviewing client portfolios and accounts and seeing how my supervisor and financial planners solve and address any issues or concerns for any given client.

What is something valuable you've learned through your internship?
Something valuable that I learned during this internship was that there are so many different jobs and positions at Everence. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes and it was very interesting to meet so many different people that had certain and distinct responsibilities.

What is something you like to do on the weekends?
On the weekends, I love to relax at home with my family and friends. I am a very big movie watcher and I'm always looking for good movies to watch.

What is your favorite local restaurant?
My favorite local restaurant must be hacienda. Their chips and salsa are unbeatable.

What advice do you have for future interns at Everence?
Expect to learn a lot during your internship. There is so much technical information as well as experience that is unknown and seems like a whirlwind of information, but that is okay!
