What is your background? (Hometown, schools, major, etc.)
I’m from Malaysia! Studied at Messiah University, Graduated in May 2025 and majored in Business Administration and Studio Art.

What is your role at Everence and where are you located?
I am the Credit Union’s Marketing Intern, located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

How did you find Everence?
I found Everence through Kristen Heisey, who graduated from Messiah Collage and is the CEO of the credit union. She was my mentor at Messiah University for an organization called ‘Women of Influence’.

What is your day to day like in your internship?
I got to work with different departments on organizing and preparing the Youth Savings Celebration, I enjoyed event planning and getting to perform tasks that aren’t case studies or class assignments. I enjoyed conducting research that would contribute to the credit union’s future as well.

What is something valuable you've learned through your internship?
I have learned about communicating in a professional setting, gradually becoming more comfortable and confident in speaking up in meetings when I have a suggestion or feedback.

What is something you like to do on the weekends?
I enjoy reading manga, nature walks and catching up with friends and family, especially over food!

What is your favorite local restaurant?
Hudson Botanical in Lancaster, Pennsylvania! Their food is fresh, a delicious fusion, and the vibes are immaculate.

What advice do you have for future interns at Everence?
Always be curious to learn! This is a safe place to explore and discover what goes on behind the scenes in a credit union. I enjoyed spending time with people in other departments and learning about what their work is like.
