Member Highlight: Let-Us-Grow Hydroponic Greenhouse
Business member appreciates the small-town atmosphere at EFCU

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of International Credit Union Day, learn about one of our members and the impact that Everence Federal Credit Union has had on their business.
Let-Us-Grow Hydroponic Greenhouse is located in the heart of Big Valley in Belleville, Pennsylvania, owned by Mark Peachey and his family. After years of owning a dairy farm, the COVID-19 pandemic caused them to change plans and gave them the idea of opening a hydroponic greenhouse in the fall of 2020.
Hydroponics is a method of growing plants by using a water-based nutrient solution rather than soil. Using this method, Let-Us-Grow is able to complete the seed to harvest process in 8 weeks. They grow mainly lettuce (hence the clever name) and some herbs.
When Mark was looking to start this business, he met with a few banks that were not interested in working with him to make his business plan become a reality. Thankfully, Mark knew Dwayne Lutz, our Business Development Officer in Belleville. Mark was very impressed with Dwayne’s enthusiasm and visits to the farm, which gave him confidence that Everence Federal Credit Union would be a great financial institution to partner with.
Mark “appreciates the small-town atmosphere and enthusiasm from Everence” which is a big reason as to why he chooses to continue to bank at Everence. Everence Federal Credit Union is excited to continue alongside Let-Us-Grow to see what the future holds!
