EFCU to launch the Emerging Leaders Program
Learn more about the new initiative and meet the 2024 Emerging Leaders

Everence® Federal Credit Union (EFCU) is excited to announce the inaugural year of their EFCU Emerging Leaders Program.
The Emerging Leader program was developed for EFCU employees who have been identified as ready to take their career to the next level. This 12-month program was developed to help credit union professionals grow in new ways and help prepare them to take on more responsibilities in the future.
"As we anticipate exponential growth in the next several years related to our Reach 2030 goals, it is important that we begin to develop the next generation of leaders who will be ready to take on new roles and to lead strategic teams as we grow,” commented Kristen Heisey, President & CEO of Everence Federal Credit Union.
The following EFCU employees have been identified as ready to take their career to the next level and will be the first cohort of “Emerging Leaders.”
- Angie Dominguez-Flores, Member Services Representative (Goshen)
- Kevin Gil, Financial Wellness Manager (Philadelphia)
- Shawna Martin, Member Services Representative (Sarasota)
- Matt Metcalf, Real Estate Loan Underwriter (Admin)
- Emily Miller, Member Relations Manager (Mount Joy)
- Manisha Patel, Loan Documentation & Service Representative (Admin)
- Byron Pellecer, Community Development Officer (Harrisonburg)
- Brandon Reyes, Accountant (Admin)
- Joseph Rushemeza, Commercial Credit Analyst/Underwriter (Admin)
The program will consist of four parts – a CEO Circle, quarterly mentor meetings, Innovation Team participation, and a Development Plan.
We are looking forward to how this program will continue to grow leaders across the credit union who may in the future take on new job duties, participate on a strategic work team, lead a special project, or be promoted to a new role.
Please join us in congratulating the 2024 EFCU Emerging Leaders!
