2025 marks a significant milestone of the Anabaptist tradition – 500 years of faith in action and global influence since its radical beginnings in the 16th century.
As an organization with deep roots in the Anabaptist tradition, Everence was honored to participate in the celebration of this anniversary at a special event hosted by Mennonite World Conference, which took place on May 29, 2025, in Zurich, Switzerland.
Ken Hochstetler, Everence President and CEO, attended the Courage to Love: Anabaptism@500 event, on behalf of Everence, representing our organization and its connection to the global Anabaptist family of faith traditions.
“Participating with others in the commemoration of Anabaptism at 500 in Zurich was inspiring,” said Ken. “It reminded us that our work at Everence is part of a centuries-long journey of faith – one rooted in generosity, community, and a deep trust in God.”
While this anniversary reflects on 500 years of history, we also look toward the future – how we will continue to live out values like generosity, mutual respect, and practical hope.
“Standing with the global Anabaptist family at this historic moment reaffirmed our calling to serve faithfully, not only in financial matters but in nurturing lives of purpose and spiritual well-being,” Ken said.
