Recognizing this reality, Everence® created the Pastoral Financial Wellness Program to offer practical tools, trusted guidance, and caring support – helping pastors strengthen their financial well-being and sustain their ministry with confidence.

Supporting pastors through financial challenges

Since 2015, the Everence Pastoral Financial Wellness Program has provided grants, guidance, and encouragement to help pastors reduce debt, build resilience, and serve with confidence. We’re grateful for the many lives touched through this initiative – and we remain committed to walking alongside pastors through our continuing resources and broader stewardship services.

Grant funding update

All grant funds for the Everence Pastoral Financial Wellness Program have been distributed. We’re grateful to have supported many pastors through this initiative and remain committed to walking alongside faith leaders in their journey toward financial well-being.

While grants for direct financial assistance are no longer available, Everence continues to offer financial stewardship education, guidance and resources to help pastors and church leaders build lasting financial wellness. Through the Stewardship Partners program, Everence works with churches to develop stewardship ministries that serve both congregational and individual needs. Our faith-based tools and guidance help leaders cultivate financial stewardship practices grounded in Christian values.

Budget and debt counseling

If you’re facing debt or struggling with a budget that no longer works, help is available. Through our partnership with Financial Choice (LSS Financial Counseling), Everence offers free, confidential support to anyone – including pastors and church members – who wants to take practical steps toward stronger financial footing.
In addition to supporting pastors individually, we offer services and resources to help your church pursue its mission with a strong, supportive financial ministry that encourages generosity and faithful living.

Financial planning provided us an opportunity to reflect on goals like saving for college and retirement, and encouraged us to make decisions that will benefit our family in the future.
