Everence Federal Credit Union invites families to grab their “Road Map to Savings” at Youth Savings Celebration 2026
EFCU celebration encourages kids on their financial adventure through a variety of activities, products, and rewards.
Buckle up and grab your road map to savings with Everence Federal Credit Union’s annual Youth Savings Celebration 2026!
This three-day event, located at all credit union branch locations from August 3-5, aims to help educate kids as they embark on their own financial journeys, teaching them about saving and budgeting through a variety of fun crafts, snacks, and special prizes.
Caitlyn Laubach, Vice President of Member Services at EFCU, shared she is looking forward to welcoming and celebrating with Everence’s youngest members as they reach early financial milestones.
“Guiding children as they build strong financial habits early on lays the groundwork for their lifelong success, and it is a privilege for us to be part of that process,” she said. “By fostering these positive behaviors now, we aim to make a meaningful impact that will benefit them well into the future.”
Everence offers a Youth Savings Account with a 5.00% APY1 interest rate, making it a great rate to reward savings. Additionally, when a child or teen makes a deposit of $15 or more into a new or existing youth savings account during Youth Savings Celebration, Everence will deposit an additional $5 into their account2. For new youth memberships, Everence will deposit their initial $5.3
Parents, guardians, and grandparents are encouraged to bring the children in their lives to this celebration. Not only will kids have the chance to take advantage of great savings opportunities, but they can also participate in the event’s road trip-themed activities. EFCU locations will have a U.S. landmark scavenger hunt, travel-ready giveaways, and much more for anyone who attends the event at their local branch during the three-day celebration.
Accounts can be opened, and deposits can be made online, by mail, or through a lobby transaction at an EFCU location.
EFCU Youth Program Products and Services
Besides Youth Savings Celebration, EFCU’s Youth Program offers their youngest members a variety of products and services, recognizing the value of investing in the next generation.
In addition to regular Youth Savings Accounts, EFCU’s Student Checking Account is offered for members ages 13-22. Whether your kid or teen is starting their first job, learning to budget, or ready for a debit card, this new account offers a flexible, convenient, and safe way to help manage their finances and prepare them for the next stage in their life.
EFCU is running, for a third year in a row, a Youth Rewards Program. After Youth Savings Celebration 2026, kids and teens can start earning points for next year through achievements like having good grades, volunteering, and opening a Youth Savings Account. They can pick up a Points Tracker at an EFCU location or download it online. Next year, participants can redeem these points for prizes between May and July of 2027.
Members can also get Greenlight, a debit card and app that lets parents send their kids money, set up chores and allowance, and create savings goals. The app’s Select plan, at a value of $5.99 a month, is free to EFCU members.4
Kristen Heisey, President and CEO of EFCU, shared why the credit union puts emphasis on families and their youth.
“Over the last several years, we have worked to design relevant offerings for kids, teens, and their families to meet their evolving needs as they grow into young adults,” she said. With the right tools and support, our kids and teens can build healthy financial habits with lasting effects.”
These lasting effects were recognized most recently when EFCU’s Youth Program was named a recipient of the CrossState 2026 Leaders in Financial Literacy Award. This award is given to credit union programs that demonstrate excellence and a commitment to serving their communities.
