Everence Association is the fraternal benefits affiliate of Everence. The 12-member Everence board also governs the association. Six of the 12 members are up for election this year. See other board members here


Karen Lehman

Goshen, Indiana

Member, College Mennonite Church; consulting associate, Mennonite Health Services; co-owner, Inn on South Fifth.

With expertise and experience in the health and finance areas combined with my commitment to the Anabaptist faith and strong sense of the purpose and mission of the church, it is my desire to share my interests and gifts in leadership, strategic visioning, public policy and service.

James Miller

Sarasota, Florida

Attends Covenant Mennonite Fellowship; founder and CEO, JMX Brands; board member, Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA) and Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary.

I’m passionate about Everence because I believe in the importance of stewardship – particularly in the way it helps to sustain individuals, congregations, businesses and communities.

It’s an honor to serve Everence, a worthy institution, where the Anabaptist tradition of stewardship is at the core. As pastor of a Mennonite Brethren church, I see the need for financial education for the faith community. As CFO of a nonprofit, my goal is to share my experience, best practices and ideas.

As a CPA and auditor serving nonprofit organizations, I strongly believe in the nonprofit sector and am reminded daily of its positive impact on our communities. I hope my experiences can support Everence as it supports nonprofits and individuals striving to integrate their faith and finances.
