Everence® Financial recently awarded ten non-profits $2,000 each from its Chapter Grant Program. Several of these organizations are key partners to Everence where Everence members volunteer their time. The grant money, $20,000 in total, was distributed to these non-profits mainly based on Everence client suggestions at the Everence summer appreciation event.
The organizations receiving the grant money include, in alphabetical order:
- Conestoga Valley Christian Community Services
- Landis Homes
- Lititz Church of the Brethren
- Love INC
- Meals on Wheels
- MCC Resource Center
- Mennonite Disaster Services
- Mennonite Homes
- Tel Hai
- Water Street Mission
The Everence chapter grant program provides assistance to organizations and causes such as housing projects and homeless shelters, community playgrounds and low-income daycares, medical clinics and blood drives, food pantries, community disaster relief, and more. The grants are made possible when members purchase many Everence products.
“We’re excited about providing these organizations with this grant money and value our relationship with them,” said Nikki Shingle, Everence Regional Director.
Kevin Nofziger, Everence Stewardship Consultant added, “I appreciate the opportunity to allow our clients and members to choose where the money was distributed.”
