I’m from Middlebury, IN and go to Indiana Wesleyan University for business management. I’ll be a senior this upcoming year and graduating within three years.
What is your role at Everence?
Training and Development Intern at Goshen Headquarters
What is your day to day like in your internship?
I attend a lot of meetings surrounding different areas of Everence with some involving training meetings with new consultants. I’ve been involved in planning the Global Leadership Summit and updating training materials in Lessonly. In future weeks, I’ll be working at the 4H fair.
What have you enjoyed the most so far?
I’ve enjoyed the community atmosphere and gaining knowledge from all areas of Everence that I can to put into my future. One example being a book study with Shawn to learn more about financial planning.
How did you find Everence?
I found Everence through networking with family involvement in Kiwanis and making connections through that.
What do you like to do outside of the internship?
I like hanging out with family and hometown friends, visiting school friends when I get the chance, as well as just being at the beach.
What’s your favorite thing to do in your area?
I really like the Pumpkin Vine with all the things to do like biking, running, sightseeing, and more.
Do you have advice for future interns at Everence?
The people around you want to see you succeed and don’t be nervous to make connections that can last a lifetime.
