Everence Federal Credit Union invites families to “Explore Savings” at Youth Savings Celebration
EFCU celebration highlights suite of products to help kids start their financial journey

Grab your backpack, put on your hiking boots and get ready to go on an adventure in savings during the Everence Federal Credit Union annual Youth Savings Celebration August 4-6.
The three-day event aims to help educate kids as they embark on their financial journeys, teaching them about saving and budgeting through fun activities at the credit union’s branches and online.
Kristen Heisey, President and CEO of Everence Federal Credit Union, said the celebration is a great opportunity for guardians to not only open a Youth Savings Account for their kids, but also to learn about all the different products EFCU offers children and teens through our Youth Program.
“We have taken deliberate steps toward creating a comprehensive program responsive to the needs of our younger members,” she said. “We believe that with the right tools and support, our kids and teens can build healthy financial habits with lasting effects.”
Everence offers a youth savings account with a 5.00% APY1 interest rate, making it a great rate to reward savings. Additionally, when a child or teen makes a deposit of $15 or more into a new or existing youth savings account during Youth Savings Celebration, Everence will deposit an additional $5 into their account.2 For new youth memberships, Everence will deposit their initial $5.3
Parents and grandparents are encouraged to bring their kids to join in on the celebration, as Everence teaches them to “Explore Savings.” Aside from the great banking deals, Youth Savings Celebration is an opportunity for kids and teens to learn more about financial wellness. EFCU will have activities, crafts and snacks for anyone who attends the event at their local branch during the three days of celebration.
Exciting new products showcased
Since the 2025 Youth Savings Celebration, Everence has added new products to help kids and teens on their financial journey.
The credit union is launching a new Student Checking Account during Youth Savings Celebration August 8 for members ages 13-22. Whether your kid or teen is starting their first job, learning to budget, or you are looking for a debit card that works for their needs, this new account will offer a flexible, convenient and safe way to help manage their finances and prepare them for the next stage in their life.
EFCU is running, for a second year in a row, a Youth Rewards Program from August 2025 to July 2026. Kids and teens can earn points for achievements like having good grades, volunteering, and opening a Youth Savings Account. They can pick up a Points Tracker at an Everence Federal Credit Union location or download it online. Participants can redeem their points for prizes between May and July 2026.
Members can also learn more about Greenlight, a debit card and app that lets parents send their kids money, set up chores and allowance, and create savings goals. The app’s Select plan, at a value of $5.99 a month, is free to EFCU members.
