Forty-two people attended a two-day Cultivating Generous Congregations workshop led by Lana Miller, Stewardship Consultant in Harrisonburg, Virginia and Beryl Jantzi, Director of Stewardship.

The workshop, held at the end of February at Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren, brought in churches from a variety of backgrounds and denominations, such as Church of the Brethren, Brethren in Christ, Biblical Mennonite Alliance, Lancaster Mennonite Conference and non-denominational.

"It was incredible to see the ways that people found common ground to talk about their churches,” said Lana. “Each group left with insights and a plan for how they will better communicate about stewardship and generosity in their churches.”

Jaime Miller provided Spanish translation during the event, which allowed attendees who speak Spanish as a first language, better interact with the workshop.

Participants enjoyed food catered by Salgados Tacos and Pupusas and Valley Pike Farm Market.
