Jace Longenecker is from South Bend, Indiana, and is a student at Goshen College located in Goshen, Indiana, where he's pursuing a Bachelor's degree in history with a concentration in law, and a minor in both multimedia communications and global economics. Jace began interning in the Marketing department at the Everence® headquarters in Goshen, during the summer of 2017 and is continuing his internship through the rest of the 2017-2018 academic year.
What are you doing in your internship?
I've been working with the Marketing team to create video content for both internal and public use, featuring how Everence services are being used to impact people's lives. I've also been helping to improve the production value of the Everence video department. Part of this has involved the purchase of a new camera based off of my research and recommendation.
One specific project I have been working on is the editing of a set of interviews from two families who have worked with Everence on end-of-life planning and charitable giving practices. We're trying to create stories that emphasize the importance of these planning activities and how they can benefit many people, with help from Everence.
What have you liked most about your internship, so far?
I have enjoyed the opportunity to meet and connect with new people here at Everence.
What is the most valuable thing you’ve learned throughout your internship?
I’ve really valued learning more about Everence as an organization and as a community, through staff sessions, chatting with coworkers on breaks, and working alongside lots of different departments.
